Yang Jiechi Meets with National Security Advisor to the UK Prime Minister Mark Sedwill

On October 9, 2017, State Councilor Yang Jiechi met in Beijing with National Security Advisor to the UK Prime Minister Mark Sedwill.

Yang Jiechi expressed that the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) will be convened soon. It is believed that the 19th CPC National Congress will provide new impetus for the development of China’s foreign relations including China-UK relations. China is willing to make continuous efforts with the UK to jointly build the “Golden Era” of bilateral relations.

Mark Sedwill expressed that the international community pays high attention to the 19th CPC National Congress. The outcomes of the congress will exert significant influence both on China and the world.
